Behind the closed doors of St. Flannan's Cathedral this week, preparations are underway for the welcome return this year of the Killaloe Music Festival. The Cathedral is delighted to be hosting this event, all be it in a different form this year due of course to the COVID-19 restrictions.
However, the concert promises to be an exciting event and will be accessible to so many more people than ever before, thanks to the festival being live-streamed. So, everyone at St. Flannan's whishes the organisers, musicians, and everyone involved with the festival the very best for what promises to be a wonderful weekend of music. For full details, please visit the festival web site. Enjoy! The Dean of St Flannan's Cathedral, the Very Rev Roderick Smith, was interviewed on Scariff BayRadio last week. During the interview, Dean Smith talked about the very successful season of Sunday concerts that have been held in the Cathedral during May, as well as talking about the webcam and other exciting plans for the Cathedral.
If you missed the interview, you can listen here to the interview as a podcast. Enjoy! |
